Meet Dr. Asmi Shah
Dr. Asmi Shah is a proud Virginian and Richmond native. She received her bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland, College Park in Physiology and Neurobiology. Since she was little, there has always been a passion for dentistry and helping others. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University and it was here she developed an interest in Endodontics. She went on to West Virginia University for a General Practice Residency followed by specialty training in Endodontics, where she served as chief resident. She is trained in root canal therapy, retreatments, apexification, regeneration, surgeries, and more, while using cutting edge technology in 3D xray diagnosis and microscope usage. She loves to educate her patients on the importance of dental health, and treats her patients with compassion while providing quality and comfortable treatment experiences.
She enjoys giving back to the community by working with the underserved population at Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, Special Olympics, and helping veterans in military communities.
She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, Northern Virginia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. She is board eligible and pursuing certification from the American Board of Endodontics.
In her free time, Dr. Shah loves traveling, cooking, hiking, and photography. She is a new mom to her baby boy and loves spending time with him and her husband. She is excited to be back in the Virginia area doing what she loves most - making patients feel their best!
