If your plan is not on this list, call (703) 462-9092 before you assume specialty care is out of reach. Many plans still pay a meaningful share of periodontal and endodontic treatment, and we will tell you what yours does before you commit to anything.
What your insurance decides, and when
Two things are worth knowing early.
Most plans require a copayment, so some portion of specialty treatment is usually yours to cover.
Final approval of payment from your insurance company only happens after treatment is complete and the claim has been submitted.
The figure we give you beforehand is built on what your insurer tells us in advance, which is exactly why we call it an estimate and why our coordinators would rather over-explain it than let it surprise you later.
Ways to pay for treatment
Annandale dental financing through outside lenders
We accept Sunbit, Proceed Financial, and CareCredit, which spread the cost of treatment across monthly payments instead of requesting the full amount on the day of your appointment. Ask our front desk for the application before your consultation so the answer is already in hand when you sit down to plan treatment.
Payment plans through our office
We offer payment plans directly through the practice. Mention it at your consultation, and we’ll lay out what is available for the treatment you need, alongside the insurance estimate, so you can compare both in one conversation.
If you don’t have dental insurance
Uninsured patients are offered discounted rates here. There is no membership to buy and no annual fee to unlock them. Tell us you are paying out of pocket and the discount is applied to your estimate.
Everyday payment methods
We accept checks and all major credit cards. You can also pay your bill online through Flex, the same system you use to book appointments and message the office.

Do you take my dental insurance?
We are in-network with major PPO providers and file claims with plans including Delta Dental PPO and Delta Dental Premier, Aetna, Ameritas, Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Guardian, Humana, MetLife, Principal, Sun Life Financial, The Standard, United Concordia, and UnitedHealthcare. Will I know what I owe before treatment starts?
Yes. Our coordinators review your coverage and give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost, based on what your insurance provider tells us, before any treatment begins.
What if I don’t have dental insurance?
You are offered a discounted rate. Uninsured patients receive reduced pricing at this practice, and pairing that discount with a payment plan is a common way patients handle larger treatment.
Does Prestige Dental Specialists offer payment plans or Annandale dental financing?
Yes, both. We accept third-party financing through outside lenders for monthly payments, and we offer payment plans directly through our office. Ask at your consultation which of the two fits your treatment and timeline better.
My dentist referred me here. Does that change my benefits?
No. A referral from your general dentist does not change your coverage, your annual maximum, or what your plan pays. It simply means the treatment is being handled by a specialist, and we coordinate the paperwork with your dentist’s office so both sides of your care are billed cleanly.
